Delaney
Winery This 18th century French-style
winery opened in 1996. Although it is surrounded by a 10-acre vineyard, no wine has been
produced from these grapes. The grapes for the Delaney's seven wines come from their
78-acre vineyard near Lamesa. Delaney wines are made using a process called 'finning,'
which uses egg whites to strain the wine. La Bodega Winery This non-traditional winery located in Dallas-Fort Worth
International Airport, does not grow its own grapes or make its own wine. Rather, La
Bodega offers four bottles of wine bottled under its own label plus wine from other Texas
wineries here. Texas wine is sold by bottle or case, also. La Buena Vida Winery This
winery is housed in a renovated church building on the original Grapevine College site.
The facility boasts a wine museum which showcases a press from the 1800s and other antique
tools of the wine trade. The site also includes a very small vineyard and herb gardens.
This winery is known for its French-style champagne, bottled under the Smith Estates
label, as well as a nice selection of reds, whites, blushes, and ports. Founded in 1972 by
Bobby Smith in Springtown. Homestead Winery and Tasting Room Call 903 583-4281 for information. |
