Bathroom and kitchen fans are an
important part of your home's ventilation system. In addition to removing
moisture from your home, they also remove odors. In fact, the nose, not
the heat, is why most people turn on their exhaust fans--to remove odors
and smoke. Exhaust fans
should be started anytime you are adding to the moisture in a room with
such activities as ·
Showering ·
Shaving ·
Cooking ·
Washing clothes ·
Hanging clothes up to dry
indoors You enter the bathroom and turn on the
exhaust fan. You shower; you shave; you hang up a wet towel; you leave the
bathroom, turning off the exhaust fan as you go. You did not turn off the moisture as
you left the bathroom, however. It is smart to put your exhaust fan on a
timer and set the timer for 20 minutes as you walk out the door. Call Terry Jensen at 972 251-1532 or 817 545-0140. Back to Humidity Directory
