Peanut Sauce/Almond Sauce
| 1/2 cup peanut chunky, ALL-NATURAL peanut butter or
almond butter 1/8 tsp garlic powder 3 T miso OR tamari sauce 2 T rice vinegar 1 T condensed orange juice 1 tsp Thai chili sauce OR 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper 1/2 cup hot water. |
Heat water in microwave. Add other ingredients and
stir with fork until smooth. You can also blend in electric blender if you like a smoother
sauce and enjoy washing another dish or two. Correct seasonings to taste, especially cayenne or chili sauce. Omit pepper or chili sauce if you prefer a milder sauce. Peanut or almond sauce keeps for weeks in the refrigerator. Stir before using. |
Use to glaze tofu or as a dipping sauce, even thin sauce with water then use it as a salad dressing or toss with noodles for an easy version of Pad Thai.
